2. Data collected
We only collect the data needed for our services: contact details (name, email, phone) when you contact us or create an account, information and photos submitted for a valuation, and data related to your orders.
3. Use of data
Your data is used to process your valuation requests, purchases and sales, manage your account and respond to you. It is never sold or passed on to third parties for commercial purposes.
4. Technical partners
Online payment is provided by Shopify; hosting and account management are handled by our technical providers. These partners process data under their own privacy policies and solely to deliver the service.
5. Retention
Your data is kept for as long as required by the business relationship and legal obligations (including accounting and second-hand trade regulations), then deleted.
6. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.
7. Your rights
Under the Swiss data protection act (nFADP), you may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data by writing to the address above.
8. Cookies
This site only uses the technical cookies required for it to work (cart, language and currency preferences, account session).
9. Online estimate and confirmation request
To start an online estimate, we ask for your first name and a phone number and/or email address, as well as your preferred contact method. The automatic estimate only starts once these details have been validated. They are used for the estimate process, to resume it if you come back to the page, and to contact you if you request a confirmation. Together with them, we record information about the item (category, condition, description, accessories) and the estimate obtained. Your photos are sent for analysis but are not stored unless you send a confirmation request; they are then kept in a private area that only authorised members of the Cash For You team can access. No alert is sent to our team until you actually send a confirmation request. Data from an unconfirmed estimate and from a sent request is currently deleted automatically no later than 30 days after it was recorded.
10. Newsletter
If you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter, your email address may be used to send you our news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
